The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ has stepped into action over the NEET paper leak controversy, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The party’s founder, Abhijeet Deepke, launched the first online petition of the organisation just seven days after creating its social media page. The petition seeks the resignation of the Education Minister in connection with the alleged NEET examination paper leak. Deepke shared a video on X (formerly Twitter), urging people to support the campaign by signing the petition in large numbers. In the video, he said that the initiative was aimed at raising questions about the failures of the system and holding those responsible accountable. He stated that the NEET examination paper leak had affected the future of lakhs of students across the country. According to him, both the system and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan were responsible for the situation, and therefore the minister should resign from his post. The online petition campaign reportedly received a massive response soon after its launch. Within just two hours, the petition had gathered more than two lakh digital signatures, according to the party. The background of the party’s formation is linked to remarks made during a Supreme Court hearing on May 15. During the proceedings, Surya Kant allegedly referred to unemployed youth as “cockroaches.” On May 16, he issued a clarification, stating that he had not intended to criticise the youth and that his remarks had been interpreted incorrectly. On the same day, Abhijeet Deepke created the social media page for the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’.
