Indian Army Departs for France to Participate in Exercise Shakti 2025

New Delhi : In a significant step towards strengthening defense cooperation, the Indian Army contingent has departed for France to take part in the 8th edition of Exercise Shakti, scheduled to be held from 18 June to 01 July 2025 at La Cavalerie, France.

This Indo-French joint military exercise aims to enhance interoperability, coordination, and synergy between the two armies, particularly in counter-terrorism operations in semi-urban terrain.

Troops from both nations will engage in a series of tactical drills, simulations, and live exercises designed to improve joint operational capabilities.

Exercise Shakti is a biennial event, alternating between India and France, and forms a key component of the strategic defense partnership between the two countries.
