A shocking incident has emerged from Surrey, a Canadian city with a large Punjabi population, where armed robbers allegedly looted cash and expensive jewelry worth millions from a well-known bridal showroom in broad daylight. The daring robbery has once again created fear and concern among local business owners and the Punjabi community in the area. According to available information, the incident took place at the famous Payal Business Centre in Surrey, a major shopping destination known for high-end retail stores. During the afternoon, three unidentified masked youths entered a store popular for expensive bridal lehengas, sherwanis and designer jewelry. As soon as they entered the showroom, the suspects reportedly threatened staff members with guns and knives. The robbers allegedly took all the cash from the counter and forcibly removed gold jewelry being worn by staff members before fleeing the scene. Police vehicles arrived at the location within minutes of the incident and the area was sealed off. However, no major breakthrough had been reported until late at night. Following the daylight robbery, local residents and business owners expressed growing concerns over safety, stating that such incidents are making it increasingly difficult to operate businesses and creating fear among the public. Meanwhile, another violent incident was reported from the neighboring city of Langley, located near Surrey’s eastern border. According to police, several armed individuals forcibly entered an apartment building located at 55 Avenue and 200 Street and shot dead a 40-year-old man. Investigators said the attack appeared to be targeted and that CCTV footage from the area is being examined to identify and arrest the suspects involved in both incidents. Langley police stated that preliminary investigations suggest the shooting was not linked to extortion or gang rivalry, but may have stemmed from a personal dispute. Authorities are currently waiting for permission from the victim’s family before publicly releasing his identity.
