Punjab Government Declares Month-Long Summer Break for Students

The Punjab government has announced summer vacations for schools across the state in view of the severe heat conditions being experienced in the region. The decision has been taken with the health and safety of students as the primary concern. According to an official communication issued by the Education Department, all government, aided, and private schools in Punjab will remain closed for summer holidays from June 1 to June 30. The move comes amid rising temperatures and intense heat across the state. Authorities have stated that the decision was made to protect students from the adverse effects of extreme weather conditions during the peak summer period. The month-long break will apply to all educational institutions covered under the order, including government-run, aided, and privately managed schools. The Education Department has directed schools to comply with the holiday schedule as announced. With temperatures continuing to rise in several parts of Punjab, the government’s decision is expected to provide relief to students and help ensure their well-being during the summer season.
