Ashu Accuses AAP of Misusing State Machinery, Alleges Police Harassment of Congress Workers

Ludhiana (Punjab) : Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu has accused Punjab Police of harassing Congress workers at Jawahar Camp, claiming the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was attempting to distribute ration illegally.

Ashu alleged that when Congress workers tried to intervene, police personnel assaulted them and attempted to file false cases against them.

Ashu rushed to the spot, confronted the police, and reportedly prevented the arrest of Congress youth workers. Speaking to the media, he strongly condemned the incident, stating that the police were acting as "polling agents" of the AAP and misusing state power.

“The AAP is trying to murder democracy, but Congress workers will resist this tyranny,” Ashu said. A complaint has been lodged with the Election Commission demanding action.
