Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic Restrictions in West Delhi on November 1 Due to Foot March

Commuters travelling through parts of West Delhi on Sunday should prepare for traffic restrictions and diversions due to a foot march scheduled in the area. The Delhi Traffic Police has announced restrictions from 9 am to 3 pm on November 1.

According to the police, the march will begin at the Hari Nagar DTC Depot on Jail Road and proceed towards Tilak Nagar Metro Station. A large gathering of participants is expected, which could affect traffic movement on several nearby roads.

Depending on the traffic situation, both carriageways of Jail Road between Lajwanti Chowk and Tilak Nagar may be closed to vehicles during the march.

The traffic police has advised motorists travelling from Hari Nagar towards Najafgarh Road and Tilak Nagar via Jail Road to take alternative routes through Lajwanti Chowk, Sagarpur T-Point and the service road along Pankha Road.

Similarly, commuters heading from Hari Nagar towards Najafgarh Road and Rajouri Garden can use Mayapuri Road via Lajwanti Chowk.

The police has identified several stretches where traffic movement is likely to be affected. These include Jail Road and its flyover between Lajwanti Chowk and Tilak Nagar, Lal Sai Marg between Delhi Haat and Hari Nagar Road, and the stretch connecting Hari Nagar with Ghanta Ghar and Hari Nagar DTC Depot.

To minimise inconvenience, the Delhi Traffic Police has urged commuters to use public transport, particularly the Metro, while travelling through the affected areas.

Motorists have also been advised against parking their vehicles along roadsides in the affected areas to ensure smooth traffic movement during the march.
