Chandigarh : Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr Ravjot Singh has said that the opposition parties, rattled by AAP’s spectacular victory in the Ludhiana by-election, have crossed all limits of decency. He stated that some of their leaders are editing my personal photos with my ex-wife using AI and making them viral on social media. I have been targeted because I belong to a Dalit family, and the people of Punjab have chosen me by defeating their hooliganism and corrupt politics. This act is not only an attack on me but also insults a woman’s dignity, exposing their true mindset towards women in society. He said that this is not just a personal attack but a caste-based and political conspiracy. This despicable act, done just two days before the Ludhiana by-election, proves that the opposition’s fear of a crushing defeat by AAP is forcing them to resort to such vile tactics.
"I am going to take strict legal action against every person who is involved in this heinous conspiracy and is spreading lies. I will lodge an FIR and file a defamation case. He said that I will not spare anyone who is have committed such a despicable act against me and my family. My appeal to the public is to trust the Aam Aadmi Party and stay cautious of the lies and filth spread by such fallen leaders. We practice the politics of truth and public service, and we will continue to do so," he concluded his post.
It is noteworthy that Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia had released semi-nude photos of Dr. Ravjot Singh with a woman on his social media handle, to which Dr. Singh responded through his Facebook post. Currently, he is actively campaigning for AAP in the Ludhiana election campaign. In response to Dr. Ravjot’s statement, Bikram Majithia has said that he did not mention any caste in his post and has asked Ravjot to apologise instead.
