Ludhiana West Bypoll: Exit Poll Points to AAP Win

Ludhiana (Punjab): According to a press release issued by Encuesta People's Insight Private Limited, the exit poll for the Ludhiana West Assembly by-election indicates a clear victory for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Sanjeev Arora.

The survey shows AAP capturing a commanding 39.8% vote share, significantly ahead of its nearest rival.The exit poll results, released on June 19 at 6:30 PM, place the Indian National Congress (INC) in second position with 23.52%, followed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at 20.45%, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) at 7.91%, and other parties collectively receiving 8.32% of the projected votes.

Based on the turnout data and polling trends, the agency estimates that approximately 95,023 votes were cast. The survey further projects that with a projected margin of 16.28%, AAP is on course to win by an estimated 15,466 votes.

The exit poll analysis was conducted using a sample size of 5,231 respondents, collected through field-level data in the Ludhiana West constituency. The bypoll has been necessitated after AAP MLA Gurpreet Gogi died of a self-inflicted bullet injury in January this year.
