Dr. Balbir Singh Commends MP Sanjeev Arora’s Blueprint for Ludhiana’s Future

Ludhiana (Punjab) : Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh held a poll meeting on Saturday in support of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly by-election, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora.

The meeting was held at the Kitchlu Nagar clinic of Dr Arun Mitra. Addressing the gathering, Dr Balbir Singh praised Arora as a visionary and development-oriented leader with a clear blueprint for Ludhiana's progress.

He asserted that Arora’s victory would not only benefit Ludhiana (West) but also contribute to the development of the entire city and even the state of Punjab.

Dr. Singh highlighted the strong public sentiment in favor of Arora, crediting him for visible development over the last three years.In contrast, he criticized an opponent who, despite having held a ministerial post in the past, failed to deliver results.

Calling for votes in favor of development, Dr Singh also elaborated on the state government’s initiatives in healthcare—such as the establishment of Aam Aadmi Clinics and the upgradation of existing health facilities.

The Minister specifically lauded Arora for the renovation of the Ludhiana Civil Hospital, now upgraded to the level of private healthcare institutions. He informed that Rs 12 crore has already been spent on its upgradation, with further improvements underway.

He also noted the popularity of mohalla clinics across Punjab, with over 3.5 crore patient visits recorded so far, and increasing public demand for more such facilities.

In his address, Sanjeev Arora presented a detailed three-year report card, listing key development projects including the Halwara Airport, elevated road, cycle track, beautification work under the elevated road, and the renovation of both the Civil and ESI Hospitals.

He said he did some work within just two months of effort which were pending for over 70 years.Citing an example, he said he worked to provide proprietary rights to around 1,600 households living in the areas falling under ‘Lal Lakir’ across the city.

Many attendees at the meeting acknowledged and appreciated the unprecedented development brought by Arora across Ludhiana.
