School Bus Driver Shot in Gwalior Over Road Block Dispute; 50 Children Onboard Left Terrified

In a shocking incident on Saturday morning, two unidentified men opened fire at a school bus driver following a dispute over a car parked in the middle of the road in Dabra town, Gwalior district. According to police authorities, the attack occurred while nearly 50 schoolchildren were inside the bus, leaving the young passengers deeply terrified by the sudden violence. The incident took place near Badi Akbai village under the jurisdiction of the Pichhore police station, as the bus belonging to Glorious Convent School, Tekanpur, was transporting students to school. Police reported that a Swift car parked awkwardly in the center of the road was obstructing traffic. Unable to proceed, the bus driver, identified as Khem Singh, sent his helper to ask the occupants of the car to clear the path. However, the men reportedly refused to move their vehicle, claiming that it had run out of fuel. When Singh personally stepped out of the bus and suggested pushing the car aside to clear the road, the men allegedly flew into a rage, triggering a heated argument. During the altercation, one of the men pulled out a country-made pistol and fired four rounds at Singh. The pellets struck the driver in the eye and cheek, causing severe injuries. Following the attack, the assailants fled the scene. The injured driver was initially rushed to a local hospital in Dabra before being referred to a medical facility in Gwalior for advanced treatment. Pichhore Station House Officer (SHO) Shivam Singh Rajawat revealed that the suspects' car had tinted windows and bore the word "Gujjar" on its rear windshield. Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Saurabh Kumar stated that police teams have been deployed to identify and arrest the culprits, while an investigation has been launched to question witnesses and determine the exact circumstances surrounding the shooting.
