Harshit Rana Added to India Squad After Completing Rehabilitation
Fast bowler Harshit Rana has been included in the Indian squad ahead of the third and final One-Day International (ODI) against Afghanistan. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Friday that Rana has successfully completed his rehabilitation at the Centre of Excellence and has subsequently been selected for the national team. He has also joined the Indian squad in Chennai. The third and final ODI of the three-match series will be played on June 20 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk) in Chennai. Harshit Rana is expected to be available for selection, providing additional strength to India's pace bowling attack. India currently holds an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. The hosts secured a seven-wicket victory in the opening match before registering a commanding 170-run win in the second ODI. Rana had suffered an injury during a practice match against South Africa ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup. Due to the seriousness of the injury, he underwent surgery, which ruled him out of both the T20 World Cup and the Indian Premier League (IPL). Following the successful completion of his rehabilitation, he is now set to make his return to the national squad.
