A case of theft of donation boxes from Gurudwaras in the villages of Agampur and Tongapur, under the jurisdiction of the Lahli police station, has come to light. The incident has sparked anger among local residents. According to reports, around 2 a.m., unidentified individuals entered the Gurudwaras and took the donation boxes before fleeing the scene. CCTV footage shows two young men, with uncovered heads, moving within the Gurudwara premises and carrying away the boxes. The next morning, when devotees arrived at the Gurudwaras, the boxes were found missing. Later, empty boxes were discovered in nearby fields of both villages, from which the cash had been removed. Since the two villages are located close to each other, authorities suspect that a single group may have carried out both thefts. Local villagers have urged the police to apprehend the culprits quickly. The Lahli police have registered a case and launched an investigation based on the CCTV footage. Officers are also questioning residents in surrounding areas to gather further information and leads.
