The Kedarnath Temple committee has imposed a complete ban on the use of mobile phones the temple premises, prioritizing the convenience of devotees and the sanctity of the holy site. The decision, taken on Tuesday, strictly prohibits clicking photographs, recording videos, or creating social media reels the temple . Committee member Vineet Posti shared the update through a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating that the move aims to maintain the spiritual purity of the shrine. He further clarified that any devotee found violating these rules will face appropriate legal action. The committee has urged visitors to respect religious decorum to ensure a peaceful and orderly experience for all. According to administrative officials, preparations are being strengthened to manage the heavy influx of pilgrims during the yatra season. From national highways to connecting roads, traffic arrangements are being enhanced to ensure smooth movement. Both permanent and temporary parking facilities are also being arranged to reduce vehicular congestion. Officials deployed at the temple will maintain continuous , and any mobile phones found in restricted zones will be confiscated. The authorities have emphasized strict enforcement of the new guidelines to uphold discipline within the premises. Religious leaders have welcomed the decision, noting that incidents of videos being recorded and circulated from the temple had increased in recent times, affecting the sanctity of the place. The committee believes that this will help devotees focus more on prayer and devotion rather than social media activities.
