Two Indian students were killed in a tragic aviation accident during flight training in Canada, according to information shared by the Indian mission.The victims have been identified as Manoj Sivakumar from Tamil Nadu and Srisaran Thirugnanasambandham from Puducherry. Both students lost their lives while undergoing flight training in Canada.
Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, the Consulate General of India in Vancouver said it was saddened by the tragic deaths of the two Indian nationals. In a statement posted on X, the mission conveyed its condolences to the families of the deceased students.
The Consulate stated that Manoj Sivakumar and Srisaran Thirugnanasambandham died in an aircraft accident that occurred during their flight training program in Canada.
The Indian mission further said that it stands in solidarity with the bereaved families and their loved ones during this difficult time. It also assured that every possible assistance would be provided to facilitate the transportation of the mortal remains to India.
“Our deepest sympathies are with the affected families and their relatives. The Consulate is ready to extend all possible support to help repatriate the mortal remains to India,” the mission said in its statement.
The tragic accident has sent shockwaves through the Indian community and aviation training circles, as two young students pursuing careers in aviation lost their lives in the incident.
