Missing Child Found Dead in Field; Accused Confesses to Murder During Interrogation
A shocking case involving the murder of a young child has come to light in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district. Police have arrested a youth identified as Arpit Parashar in connection with the murder of a missing child. The deceased has been identified as Angadveer Singh, son of Gursewak Singh and Gurpreet Kaur. According to the available information, Gurpreet Kaur had been living separately in Meerut following a dispute with her husband. During the investigation, the child's mother's alleged lover reportedly confessed to the crime. The accused admitted his involvement in the murder while being questioned by the police. Investigators said Angadveer Singh was allegedly kidnapped from outside his family's residence before being strangled to death. His body was later recovered from a field. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Abhijeet Kumar said that a missing child report was received from the Bahsuma police station area on June 16. Following the complaint, four police teams were formed to trace the child. During the investigation, police detained a youth identified as Arpit Sharma. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime, following which the child's body was recovered from a field at the location pointed out by the accused. Further investigation into the case is currently underway.
