Masked Assailants Open Fire at Mobile Shop in Madhopuri, Panic Grips Area
Panic spread in the Madhopuri area of Ludhiana after two masked men on a motorcycle targeted a mobile phone shop late on Thursday night. The robbery attempt turned violent when the assailants opened fire and attacked a local resident who tried to intervene. According to reports, Mohammad Alam was alone at his shop, Sahil Telecom, when the two unidentified individuals arrived on a motorcycle and entered the premises. The suspects began looting the shop, and when resistance was offered, they opened fire. A bullet struck Anjar Alam in his right hand during the incident. Hearing the gunshot, a nearby grocery shop owner, Nikku, rushed to the spot to assist. However, upon finding themselves confronted, the assailants attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon, causing serious head injuries. He reportedly collapsed on the ground after the assault. Police reached the scene soon after the incident and initiated an investigation. Officials are currently examining CCTV footage from the area to identify and trace the suspects involved in the attack.
