The Chandigarh administration has announced the closure of Sukhna Lake for the general public for three days starting today. The decision has been taken in view of upcoming arrangements at the popular tourist spot. According to official orders, Sukhna Lake will remain closed from March 26 to March 28, 2026. Authorities have advised visitors to take note of the restriction before planning any visit to the lake during this period. The closure has been enforced to facilitate preparations for the “Surya Kiran Aerobatic Civil Display” scheduled at the site. Necessary arrangements and safety measures are being put in place, prompting the temporary restriction on public entry. The administration has issued clear instructions to ensure smooth conduct of the event, and access to the lake will remain prohibited for all visitors during the specified dates.
