Police Probe Underway After Woman’s Body Found in Railway Colony Drum in Patiala

A shocking incident has come to light in Patiala, where the body of a young woman was recovered from inside a blue drum. The incident created panic in the area, following which police officials reached the spot and initiated an investigation. According to reports, the drum was found lying at a deserted location in the Railway Colony area. The accused allegedly placed the woman’s body inside the drum and sealed it with a red lid in an apparent attempt to avoid suspicion. Initial information suggests that local residents noticed the drum and became suspicious, after which they informed the police. Upon opening the drum, police discovered the body of a young woman inside. Authorities are currently working to establish the identity of the deceased and determine the exact cause of death. Police are also examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras as part of the investigation. Officials are trying to determine who brought the body to the location and how many individuals may have been involved in the incident. Investigating officer ASI Gurbinder Singh stated that preliminary findings indicate the case may be linked to a love affair. At present, the police’s primary focus is identifying the woman. For this purpose, her photograph has been circulated to nearby police stations. Once her identity is confirmed, a postmortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death.
