Authorities in Jalandhar have been put on high alert after bomb threats were issued against three schools, a train bound for Delhi, the Assembly, and a statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The threats were reportedly communicated through an email sent in the name of the Khalistan National Army. According to the information received, the threatening email was sent to APJ Public School, Delhi Public School, and another school in the city. The message warned that these locations, along with a train heading to Delhi and the Assembly, could be targeted with bombs. The email also issued a warning regarding statues of B. R. Ambedkar across Jalandhar district. The sender stated that all Ambedkar statues should be removed by April 14, adding that if the statues were not removed by that date, everything would be destroyed using explosives. Following the receipt of the threatening email, the schools immediately informed the police. Security agencies have since launched a checking drive in the area and begun efforts to trace the origin of the email. In the wake of the threat, the administration has been placed on alert while police continue their investigation into the matter.
