Missing Twins Found Safe Within 90 Minutes of Amber Alert in British Columbia
The RCMP has confirmed that twin children reported missing in British Columbia were found safe within just 90 minutes of an Amber Alert being issued. Police said two individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the case. According to investigators, the children were located inside a suspicious vehicle in the Burns Lake area. The children have since been placed under protection and are reported to be safe. Police officials said they first received information late Sunday night that the children had allegedly been abducted. Following an initial investigation, authorities issued an Amber Alert on Monday morning. The RCMP stated that shortly after the alert was broadcast, members of the public began providing multiple tips and pieces of information, which helped officers quickly trace the children’s location. Staff Sergeant Michael Bourgouin said the B.C. Amber Alert system functioned exactly as intended and credited public awareness and cooperation for helping ensure the children were safely recovered. Police added that the investigation remains ongoing and further details will be shared as they become available.
