Oshawa Incident Leaves 23-Year-Old Dead Following Group Fight
A 23-year-old man has died following a violent altercation outside a Tim Hortons location in Oshawa, according to police. Authorities said the victim suffered “serious injuries” during the incident. Durham Regional Police stated that the incident took place around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday near the intersection of Simcoe Street North and Winchester Road East. Officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of an “armed person” in the area. Preliminary investigation revealed that a fight broke out between two groups outside the Tim Hortons restaurant. During the altercation, the victim sustained critical injuries. Following the attack, the suspect and several other youths reportedly fled the area on foot. Police later carried out an extensive search operation in the surrounding area with the assistance of a helicopter and K-9 units. However, no arrests had been made at the time of reporting. Investigators have appealed to the public for assistance. Police are asking anyone who may have mobile phone footage, dashcam recordings, or security camera video related to the incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
