Family Alleges Luring and Abduction of Minor Girl, Police Launch Probe

Sultanpur Lodhi police have registered a case against a युवक for allegedly abducting a minor girl after luring her. The action was taken following a complaint filed by the girl’s mother. Police have initiated an investigation under Sections 363 and 366-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). According to the complaint, Preet Kaur, a resident of village Kamalpur Motawali and wife of Major Singh, stated that her daughter, a Class 12 student studying at a government school near Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, went missing from home under mysterious circumstances on March 13. The family conducted extensive searches and made inquiries among relatives, but when no clue about the girl’s whereabouts was found, they approached the police. The complainant has expressed suspicion that a युवक, identified as Balraj Mehra from Sultanpur Lodhi, may have abducted her daughter by luring her with the promise of marriage or other inducements. Police officials confirmed that an FIR has been registered against the accused and raids are being conducted to ensure the safe recovery of the girl. Investigation teams are examining all aspects of the case, and officials have stated that efforts are underway to arrest the आरोपी at the earliest. The incident has caused concern in the local area, with residents expressing anxiety over the safety of minors.
