Amritsar House Fire After Powerful Explosion Leaves Two Women Critical
An explosion followed by a massive fire broke out at a house in Amritsar on Thursday, leaving two women severely injured. The blast was so powerful that cracks appeared in the roof of the house, while window panes installed outside were shattered. The loud explosion created panic in the area, causing chaos among local residents. According to officials, the two women sustained serious burn injuries in the fire and were immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment. Their condition is reported to be critical. Police teams reached the spot soon after receiving information about the incident and began an investigation into the matter. ACP Surinderpal Singh stated that two fire brigade vehicles were deployed to control the blaze. After nearly half an hour of efforts, the fire was brought under control. Following this, the injured women trapped inside the house were rescued and taken out safely. Authorities also called forensic teams to the scene to collect evidence and determine the exact cause of the explosion and fire. ADCP Vishaljit Singh, who also visited the site, said that the police team reached the location immediately after receiving the information. Preliminary findings revealed that firecrackers had been stored inside the house. The stored firecrackers reportedly caught fire, leading to the explosion and subsequent blaze. Police have registered a case and further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
