Primary School Students’ Educational Tour Becomes a Memorable Experience in Punjab

An educational tour organized for primary school students from various schools in Punjab turned into a memorable learning experience. Students from five schools under Centre Gandhran—Bhodipur, Bara Siddhpur, Ladharan, Dargawal, and Billa Nawab—and three schools under Centre Mallhian Kalan—Ball Kohna, Ball Naun, and Seowal—were taken on a scientific trip under the guidance of their teachers and support staff. The students visited Pushpa Gujral Science City and Gurdwara Tahli Sahib as part of the tour. During the visit, Baljit Singh Kular supervised the overall arrangements. At Science City, Education Officer Harsimran Kaur and Manpreet Kaur conducted a “Candle Science Experiment” workshop, helping students enhance their scientific understanding. Master Gurdeep Singh and Jasveer Singh Shayar served as tour guides, providing detailed information about the scientific exhibits as well as the historical significance of both Science City and Gurdwara Tahli Sahib. ASHA worker Jasveer Kaur ensured medical support throughout the trip. The dual-focused tour, combining science and history, allowed students to learn about their cultural background while also gaining knowledge about scientific concepts. Several teachers, including Jaspal Singh, Meenakshi Jain, Pooja Bajaj, Kamlesh Rani, Jaspreet Kaur, Ranjit Kaur, Dimple Gupta, Amandeep Kaur, and Sonia Rani, played key roles in organizing and managing the visit. Support staff members also contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the trip. Students participated with great enthusiasm and gained valuable practical knowledge from the experience. Gurleen Kaur documented the tour through photography, capturing memorable moments from the visit.
