According to the official calendar for 2026, Friday will be observed as a holiday in all government institutions. On this day, schools, colleges, government offices, and public institutions across Punjab will remain closed. The holiday is part of the state’s annual calendar of official holidays. Officials confirmed that apart from Janmashtami, no additional public holidays have been scheduled in Punjab for the month of September.
