The India women's national cricket team suffered a 3-0 series defeat against the Australia women's national cricket team in the ODI series during their tour of Australia, after losing the third and final match by a massive margin of 185 runs. Australia captain Alyssa Healy delivered a remarkable performance in her final ODI appearance, scoring 158 runs off 98 balls. Her innings guided Australia to a huge total of 409 runs for the loss of seven wickets. In response, India were bowled out for 224 runs in 45.1 overs, handing Australia a comprehensive victory. Healy became only the second woman cricketer to score a century in her final ODI. The previous instance dates back to 2007 when Johmari Logtenberg achieved the feat against the Netherlands. In addition to Healy’s innings, Beth Mooney also contributed significantly with an unbeaten century, strengthening Australia’s dominant position in the match played in Hobart. Chasing a daunting target of 410 runs, India struggled throughout their innings. Sneh Rana was the top scorer with 44 runs, followed by Jemimah Rodrigues who made 42 runs. Contributions from Pratika Rawal (27), Deepti Sharma (29), and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (25) were not enough to challenge Australia’s imposing total. For Australia, Alana King was the standout bowler, taking four wickets for 33 runs, while Georgia Wareham picked up two wickets, conceding just three runs. Earlier in the match, India had won the toss and opted to bowl first, but the decision did not yield the desired outcome as Australia dominated with the bat and sealed a convincing series sweep.
