Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer Elected Unopposed as PCA Honorary Secretary

Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has been elected unopposed as the Honorary Secretary of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA). The decision was taken during a Special General Body Meeting (SGM) and elections held for the secretary’s post. The elections were conducted at the PCA’s new international cricket stadium in Mohali, where Election Officer Jagpal Singh Sandhu officially declared Meet Hayer as the unopposed winner for the position of Honorary Secretary. Expressing gratitude to all PCA members for their trust and support, Meet Hayer reaffirmed his commitment to the development and promotion of cricket in Punjab. He stated that efforts would be made to expand cricketing opportunities even in remote areas of the state. He further emphasized the need for collective cooperation to build a strong cricket ecosystem that not only produces talented players but also upholds the spirit and integrity of the game. It is noteworthy that Meet Hayer has previously served in various capacities as a Cabinet Minister in the Punjab government.
