Bomb Threat Targets Mansa Court Complex and Four Schools, Security Tightened

Security was heightened across parts of Mansa district on Monday after a handwritten letter threatening to blow up the district court complex and four schools prompted authorities to launch precautionary measures and search operations.
According to sources, the threat letter named schools in Khiwa Kalan, Hero Kalan and Atla Kalan villages, along with the Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Mansa city and the Mansa District Court Complex. The communication warned that attacks would be carried out on September 21 and 22.
Following the threat, district authorities moved quickly to strengthen security arrangements. As a precautionary measure, all four schools were evacuated while additional security measures were put in place at the court complex.
Police and bomb disposal teams were deployed to the identified locations to conduct thorough inspections. The search operation was launched immediately after the letter came to the attention of authorities.
No Suspicious Object Found
Mansa Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vaibhav Chaudhary said the handwritten letter was recovered from the Bhikhi area of the district.
“We sent bomb disposal squads to all four locations and carried out search operations. No suspicious object was found. The schools have been evacuated as a precaution,” the SSP said.
He added that similar search operations would continue at all the identified sites on Tuesday as part of ongoing security measures.
Handwriting Experts to Examine Letter
Police have also initiated an investigation to identify the person responsible for the threat.
According to SSP Vaibhav Chaudhary, the handwritten letter is being sent to handwriting experts for examination. The analysis is expected to assist investigators in tracing the origin of the threat and determining its authenticity.
Authorities have not reported the discovery of any explosive material so far, but security agencies remain on high alert while the investigation continues.
