Young Man Found Dead on Bela-Attari Road, Family Suspects Foul Play

A tense atmosphere has gripped the Bela-Attari area after the body of a young man was discovered on the roadside early this morning. The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Jaskaran Singh, son of Tarlochan Singh, a resident of village Grewal who was staying at his grandfather’s house in Bela. According to reports, Jaskaran Singh left his home last night after dinner to visit a friend in village Attari on his motorcycle but never reached his destination. His friend stated that he made several calls to Jaskaran, but received no response. The body and his motorcycle were spotted by passersby along the roadside, who promptly informed the local police. Station in-charge Sukhvinder Singh of Bela Police stated that a thorough investigation is underway to uncover all aspects of the incident and resolve the matter promptly. Family members and friends of the deceased have expressed suspicions that Jaskaran Singh did not die in an accident but may have been murdered elsewhere and his body dumped on the roadside. They have criticized the authorities for the delay in response, noting that police arrived about two hours after being notified and the forensic team also reached the scene late. The family has demanded a swift and impartial investigation to ensure justice for Jaskaran Singh. Police have confirmed that the case is being treated with urgency, and all investigative measures are being undertaken to ascertain the cause and circumstances of death.
