A major fire broke out early Monday morning in the heritage market of Kasauli town, resulting in the destruction of several shops and causing extensive damage to property. According to eyewitnesses, the fire was triggered by an explosion in an LPG cylinder inside one of the shops. The flames quickly spread to nearby establishments, intensifying the situation within a short span of time. Preliminary reports indicate that at least three restaurants and one medical store suffered significant losses in the incident. The situation worsened further as multiple LPG cylinders exploded one after another, fueling the fire and making firefighting operations more challenging. To control the rapidly spreading blaze, fire brigade teams were dispatched from nearby Parwanoo. Efforts to douse the fire were ongoing at the time of reporting. A local trader, Nitin Sahu, stated that shopkeepers rushed to the site in an attempt to save their goods but faced considerable difficulties, as fire brigade vehicles did not arrive promptly. Thick plumes of black smoke were seen rising into the sky from a distance, indicating the severity of the fire. Authorities continued their efforts to bring the situation under control.
