In response, Sri Lanka successfully chased down the target, reaching 115 for 6 in 19.2 overs with four balls to spare. Batter Harshitha Samarawickrama anchored the run chase with a crucial, unbeaten knock of 48 runs off 37 balls to guide her team over the finish line. With this victory, Sri Lanka maintained an undefeated record in Group B and became the second team, after India, to qualify for the semi-finals. Sri Lanka is now scheduled to play against the second-placed team from Group A on Friday.Despite the defeat, Bangladesh's hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals remain alive. They can still secure a spot in the knockout stage by defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their final group-stage match.
