Amritsar Police Arrest MLA Laljit Bhullar from Mandi Gobindgarh

The Amritsar Police on Monday arrested Laljit Singh Bhullar, MLA from Patti and former cabinet minister, from Mandi Gobindgarh in connection with the suicide case of Punjab Warehousing Corporation’s district manager Gagandeep Singh Randhawa. According to official information, Bhullar had been named in the case registered at Ranjit Avenue police station in Amritsar. The FIR was lodged based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s wife, Upinder Kaur. The police have also named two other individuals in the case, including Bhullar’s father Sukhdev Singh Bhullar and his personal assistant Dilbagh Singh. As per reports, Gagandeep Singh Randhawa had died by suicide after levelling several allegations against Bhullar, which brought the matter into serious focus. Following the incident, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had taken immediate action and sought Bhullar’s resignation from the cabinet. The state government also handed over the investigation to the Punjab Chief Secretary to ensure a thorough probe. With Bhullar’s arrest, further legal proceedings have been initiated, and the investigation into the case is ongoing.
