During a meeting of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) National Council and General Assembly held at Jaat Bhawan in Karnal, it was officially resolved to stage massive nationwide protests across India, including New Delhi, on November 26. State units of the SKM will decide the specific protest locations in their respective regions. The meeting was presided over by a seven-member panel comprising Ashok Dhavale, Joginder Singh Ugrahan, Rakesh Tikait, Rajan Kshirsagar, Dr. Sunilam, Jagtar Singh Bajwa, and Joginder Singh Nain. A central focus of the assembly was mobilizing farmers to support citizens, students, and youths protesting against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. Consequently, the SKM issued a call for widespread protests at district and tehsil headquarters across the country on October 23. The Morcha also confirmed that it will participate in the ongoing agitations in New Delhi. Senior leader Jagtar Singh Bajwa strongly condemned the harassment and police crackdown orchestrated by Delhi Police and miscreants against demonstrators, including young female students, in the national capital. The Morcha warned that if these actions persist, farmers will step forward nationwide to back the student and youth movements. The assembly also raised concerns regarding the failure of the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice and immediate action against widespread unlawful incidents unfolding in the capital. The SKM demanded the immediate scrapping of the controversial Special Intensive Revision (SIR), the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar from his post, the initiation of legal proceedings against him, and the complete restoration of voting rights for all 13.41 million removed citizens. Prominent leaders from Punjab, including Raminder Singh Patiala, Joginder Singh Ugrahan, Jagmohan Singh Uppal, Gurmeet Singh Bhattiwal, Daljinder Singh Gurna, Gurmeet Singh Mehma, Angrez Singh Mohali, and Gurnam Singh Mansa, were present at the meeting.
