Anti-Drug Drive: Two Properties Demolished in Khanna Over Drug-Related Activities

As part of an ongoing campaign against drugs, Khanna Police on Thursday carried out demolition action against two properties allegedly linked to drug trafficking and consumption.
The action was conducted under the directions of Khanna Police District SSP Dr Darpan Ahluwalia and was led by DSP Vinod Kumar.
The first action was taken against the house of Sumit Aujla in the Meat Market area of Khanna. According to police, Aujla has a criminal record involving six cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The demolition was carried out through officials of the Khanna Municipal Council in accordance with the prescribed rules.
The second action was taken against an old factory room located in Alour village. Police said the room had remained vacant for around 15 years and was being used for drug consumption.
After establishing contact with the owner, who is currently residing abroad, the authorities carried out the demolition in accordance with the applicable rules.
SSP Dr Darpan Ahluwalia said such action against properties linked to the drug trade would continue. She said people involved in the illegal drug business would not be spared.
The police said the latest action forms part of the ongoing efforts to curb drug-related activities in the Khanna police district.
