Expanding Public Healthcare: Total Aam Aadmi Clinics in Punjab to Reach 1,245 With Latest Rollout

Continuing its rigorous push under the ongoing "health revolution" across the state, the Punjab government is set to dedicate 153 new Aam Aadmi Clinics to the public. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will officially inaugurate these healthcare facilities today during a special event in Hoshiarpur. With this latest addition, the total number of operational Aam Aadmi Clinics across the state will rise to 1,245. This expansion aims to ensure that residents in both rural and urban areas have easy, convenient access to standard healthcare services right near their doorsteps. These clinics are designed to deliver essential medical infrastructure and support to local communities. Patients visiting these facilities receive up to 107 types of essential medicines and benefit from 47 different types of diagnostic tests, all provided completely free of cost. According to official data, the Aam Aadmi Clinics have already served a massive demographic, with 6.48 crore people utilizing Outpatient Department (OPD) services and over 3.63 crore individuals availing free diagnostic testing. The state administration highlights that the addition of these new clinics will significantly reduce out-of-pocket medical expenses for ordinary citizens, making universal healthcare more accessible than ever.
