Alabama Woman Admits to Shooting Husband Dead, Police Say

A shocking incident has surfaced in the US state of Alabama, where a 65-year-old woman, Sherry Cults, has reportedly confessed to shooting and killing her husband. According to police officials, the woman told investigators that she had become “fed up” with her husband’s behaviour. Investigators said Sherry Cults was recovering at home after undergoing surgery, while her husband, Timothy Cults, repeatedly entered the room to check on her condition. Police stated that the repeated interruptions allegedly upset her. According to authorities, the woman had already kept a firearm ready before the incident took place. When her husband did not return to the room again, she reportedly went to the living room, where he was sitting on a chair, and shot him once. The bullet struck him in the chest, leading to his death. The Franklin County Sheriff said the woman confessed to the crime at the scene itself. Police are continuing their investigation and are trying to determine whether there were any additional factors behind the incident. Authorities also stated that no complaints related to domestic violence involving the couple had been recorded in recent years. At present, Sherry Cults remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
