Punjab Administrative Reshuffle: State Government Transfers 1 IAS and 2 PCS Officers, Ankur Mahindru Appointed Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Commissioner
In an administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has issued transfer and posting orders for one Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and two Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officers. The official orders were released through the Chief Secretary's office. According to the notification, Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ojasvi has been transferred and posted as the Additional Secretary in the Department of Revenue, Rehabilitation, and Disaster Management. Meanwhile, PCS officer Vineet Kumar has been assigned as the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Jagraon. Additionally, he will take on the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Ludhiana Urban Water and Waste Water Management Limited. In another directive, PCS officer Ankur Mahindru—previously serving as the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) in Sangrur—has been moved to the Department of Local Government. He has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, succeeding Ojasvi. All transferred officers have been instructed to assume charge of their new assignments immediately. This latest bureaucratic adjustment follows a series of administrative realignments carried out by the Punjab government over the past few months. Earlier, on September 12, the state government reshuffled three IAS officers, followed by changes involving four IAS officers on August 11, eight on July 8, and seven on June 2.
