Security Alert in Gujarat Assembly Following Bomb Threat Email

Panic gripped the Gujarat Vidhan Sabha complex on Wednesday morning after an email threatening to blow up the premises was received, prompting immediate evacuation of the building. Following the threat, authorities cleared the entire assembly complex as a precautionary measure. Police teams rushed to the spot and initiated a thorough search operation to ensure the safety of the premises and those present. According to officials, the threatening email was received at around 8:45 am, shortly before the budget session proceedings were scheduled to begin at 9:00 am. Acting swiftly, security personnel began scanning the complex for any explosive materials. So far, no suspicious object has been found during the ongoing search operation. Authorities continue to remain on high alert while investigations into the source of the email are underway.
