Religious Sentiments Hurt After Gutka Sahib Pages Found Scattered in Aerocity

A case of alleged disrespect of Gutka Sahib has been reported from the Aerocity area of Zirakpur, triggering strong reactions among local residents and the Sikh community. According to information, torn pages of Gutka Sahib were found scattered near a shrine located in the middle of the road on Airport Road. The incident occurred late in the evening in the H Block area of Aerocity, when some residents from Chhat village had gone out for a walk and noticed the scattered pages near a tomb. They immediately informed the police. Following the alert, the in-charge of Zirakpur police station, Satinder Singh, reached the spot along with his team. The police promptly sealed the area and conducted a search operation that continued till late at night. Authorities are currently scanning nearby areas to identify suspects. CCTV footage from the vicinity is also being examined to trace those responsible for the incident. As news of the incident spread, a large number of local residents and members of the Sikh community gathered at the site. They strongly condemned the act, terming it a serious offense that has hurt religious sentiments, and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits. In view of the situation, additional police force has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order. Mohali SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans confirmed that a case has been registered against unidentified individuals. He stated that the investigation is ongoing and teams are working to ensure the early arrest of those involved. The administration has appealed to the public to maintain peace.
