Consumers Asked to Clear Pending Power Dues to Avoid Disconnection

The electricity department has initiated strict action against consumers in the district who have not paid their electricity bills for a long time. Authorities have begun disconnecting power connections of consumers with outstanding dues as part of the enforcement drive. Providing details, SDO Engineer Anubhav Kumar of the Jhoke Hari Har power substation said that consumers with pending electricity bills should clear their dues at the earliest. He emphasized that if the payments are not made within the stipulated time, the department will proceed with immediate disconnection of electricity connections in accordance with departmental rules. He further stated that once a connection is disconnected due to non-payment, it may be restored only after the consumer clears the outstanding amount. However, consumers may face additional procedures and inconvenience during the reconnection process. The SDO appealed to consumers to deposit their electricity bills on time to avoid any departmental action and ensure uninterrupted power supply.
