Bihar Road Tragedy: Three SHOs and Driver Die in Devastating Highway Accident

A devastating road accident on National Highway-31 (NH-31) in Begusarai, Bihar, claimed the lives of four people, including three Station House Officers (SHOs). The tragic incident occurred while the police officers were returning to their district after completing a one-day official training programme in Patna. According to the information available, the collision was so severe that the official vehicle was completely wrecked. Three occupants died on the spot, while another police officer later succumbed to injuries during treatment at a hospital. The incident has left the police department and the local community in deep mourning. The deceased have been identified as Neeraj Kumar, SHO of Belari Police Station in Madhepura; Gyanendra Amar, SHO of Arar Police Station in Madhepura; Neeraj Kumar, the driver of the official vehicle; and Sajan Paswan, SHO of Ratwara Police Station in Madhepura. Sajan Paswan died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. He was a resident of Mohania in Kaimur district. SHO Neeraj Kumar was a native of Dehuri in Gaya district, while Gyanendra Amar belonged to Manihari in Katihar district. The vehicle's driver, Jyoti Neeraj Kumar, was a resident of Amarpatti in Madhepura district. Authorities are expected to conduct further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
