Child Allegedly Kidnapped for Sale Recovered Safely as Ludhiana Police Crack Case in Hours

Ludhiana Police have claimed to have solved the kidnapping case of a four-month-old infant from Chander Nagar in the Haibowal area within five hours of the incident. The child, identified as Aryan, was safely rescued from the accused and reunited with his family.
In a significant development in the case, police said the infant was allegedly kidnapped by his own paternal aunt, identified as Mamta, with the help of an associate named Vivek. According to the investigation, the accused had allegedly planned to sell the child after striking a deal with potential buyers.
Police arrested both accused and recovered the infant from a rented accommodation in Jalandhar. The accused, originally residents of Uttar Pradesh, were living in Jalandhar as migrant workers. The child's father, who had also migrated from Uttar Pradesh for work, resides in Ludhiana.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Alam Vijay Singh, who supervised the operation, formally handed the infant over to his father, Alok Kumar. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police-3 Dharavath Sai Prakash was also present during the handover. Police assured that the matter would be investigated thoroughly.
According to officials, Haibowal Police received information about the kidnapping at around 6 pm on Sunday. A police team immediately reached the spot and launched an investigation.
The child's father informed police that a masked man and woman had taken away his son. Based on his statement, a case was registered at Haibowal Police Station. Investigators then began an intensive search operation using technical surveillance and human intelligence inputs.
DCP Alam Vijay Singh said multiple police teams were constituted to trace the infant. Acting on leads and conducting raids at suspected locations, police located the child in Jalandhar and rescued him safely within five hours of the kidnapping. The two accused were also taken into custody during the operation.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the female accused was reportedly involved in a dispute with her husband. Police are now attempting to determine who the child was allegedly going to be sold to and whether any other individuals were involved in the planned transaction.
The rescued infant was subsequently reunited with his family after the successful operation.
