Delhi High Court Spares Rajpal Yadav from Jail After Partial Payment
Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav received significant relief from the Delhi High Court in connection with a cheque bounce case, as the court decided not to send him to jail for the time being. The matter came up for an important hearing on Wednesday, where the court was informed about payments made in relation to the case. Counsel representing the actor stated that an amount of ₹4.25 crore has already been paid to Murli Projects Private Limited. Additionally, a demand draft of ₹25 lakh was submitted during the hearing. Taking note of the payments, the court expressed satisfaction and observed that since a substantial portion of the required amount had been cleared, there was no need to send the actor back to जेल at this stage. Rajpal Yadav was personally present in court during the proceedings and presented his side, stating that he had already made significant payments. During the hearing, the judge advised him to exercise caution and refrain from making any statements that could be used against him in the future. The court further clarified that the case could be closed once the remaining dues are fully settled. The next hearing in the matter has been scheduled for March 30.
