CJP and Government to Hold Third Round of Talks Today Over NEET Paper Leak Protest

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which has been protesting against the alleged NEET paper leak, is set to hold another round of talks with the Central Government today. The two sides will meet for the third time at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, marking the second consecutive day of discussions aimed at resolving the ongoing standoff. The previous meeting, held on July 20 at the residence of Union Minister J.P. Nadda, ended without any breakthrough. During today’s meeting, the government is expected to clarify its position on the demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Following Friday’s discussions, Union Minister J.P. Nadda said that the CJP had submitted three demands and five suggestions related to examination reforms. He added that these proposals are currently under discussion. Meanwhile, the Cockroach Janata Party has reiterated its stand ahead of the fresh round of negotiations. Amid the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar, CJP founder Abhijit Deepke stated that the protest would not be withdrawn unless Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns from his post. He emphasized that there would be no compromise on this demand. Deepke further said that regardless of the level at which the government offers dialogue, the party’s primary demand remains the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. He asserted that no settlement would be accepted without it. According to him, the protesters will continue their sit-in at Jantar Mantar until their key demand is fulfilled, and the movement will continue until the government acts on their principal demands. Meanwhile, the second round of the current phase of discussions between the Cockroach Janata Party and the government is expected to begin shortly at the Constitution Club in New Delhi. The earlier round of talks, held on July 20 at Union Minister J.P. Nadda’s residence, concluded without reaching any agreement.
