Jandiala Guru Case: Police Register POCSO Case After Video of Assault Surfaces

A case involving the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old minor girl has come to light in the New Abadi area of Jandiala Guru. Police have registered a case against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. According to police officials, the incident reportedly occurred about a month ago but surfaced recently after the accused allegedly circulated a video recorded during the incident. The suspect has been identified as Nishan Singh, a resident of the same locality. In her complaint to the police, the victim stated that she had traveled to Jandiala Guru to visit her sister. During her stay, she fell ill and was heading to a doctor to obtain medicine when she encountered Nishan Singh, who lives nearby. The accused allegedly offered the minor a ride on his motorcycle. However, instead of taking her to the doctor, he reportedly took her to a secluded place where the assault occurred. Police have registered the case under the POCSO Act and initiated further investigation into the matter.
