Gold and Silver Prices Increase; Check the Latest Rates by Purity
Gold and silver prices registered an increase on Tuesday, with both precious metals recording fresh gains in the domestic bullion market, according to the latest data released by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). As per the IBJA, the price of silver rose by ₹1,270 per kilogram, taking its rate to ₹2.19 lakh per kg. Meanwhile, the price of 24-carat gold increased by ₹178 per 10 grams, reaching ₹1.42 lakh. Gold Prices Continue to Rise in 2026 Gold prices have witnessed continuous fluctuations throughout 2026. So far this year, the price of gold has increased by ₹9,000. On December 31, 2025, the price of 10 grams of gold stood at just over ₹1.33 lakh, which has now climbed to ₹1.42 lakh. Silver Down Compared to Last Year In contrast, silver has recorded an overall decline this year despite the latest gain. The price of silver has fallen by ₹11,000 per kilogram compared to the end of last year. On December 31, 2025, silver was priced at ₹2.30 lakh per kg, while it currently stands at ₹2.19 lakh per kg. Record Highs This Year During 2026, both precious metals touched their highest levels on January 29. On that day, gold reached ₹1.76 lakh per 10 grams, while silver surged to ₹3.86 lakh per kilogram, marking the highest prices recorded so far this year.
