Gujarat Titans continued their impressive run in IPL 2026 by securing their fifth consecutive victory with a commanding 82-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. The victory helped Gujarat move to the top of the points table with 16 points. The match was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, Gujarat Titans posted 168 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Sai Sudharsan played a crucial innings for Gujarat, scoring the highest 61 runs for his side. Washington Sundar also made an important contribution, smashing 50 runs off 33 balls to strengthen the team’s total. For Hyderabad, Praful Hinge and Saqib Hussain picked up two wickets each, while captain Pat Cummins claimed one wicket. In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad failed to build momentum and were bowled out for just 86 runs in 14.5 overs. Captain Pat Cummins was the top scorer for the team with 19 runs. Gujarat’s bowling attack delivered an outstanding performance, with Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder taking three wickets each. Prasidh Krishna also chipped in with two wickets to dismantle Hyderabad’s batting lineup. With this win, Gujarat Titans climbed to the top position in the IPL 2026 standings. The team now has 16 points from 12 matches, having won eight games so far this season. Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently placed third on the table with 14 points.
