The interim committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) is scheduled to hold an important meeting today, February 26. The meeting is expected to deliberate on several key issues, including a possible major decision regarding Giani Raghbir Singh. According to available information, the matter concerning Giani Raghbir Singh could be a central focus of the discussions. In addition, the committee may also announce the date for the upcoming annual budget session of the SGPC, which is expected to take place next month. It is noteworthy that Giani Raghbir Singh, who is currently on leave from his position as the head granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib, had recently levelled allegations of corruption against the SGPC. Following these allegations, the committee had issued him a 72-hour notice to respond. With the deadline for his response now expired, the SGPC convened this interim committee meeting. It is widely expected that a significant decision regarding the matter may be taken during the session. Besides this issue, several other Panthic matters are also likely to be discussed and decided upon in the meeting.
