Akali Dal Waris Punjab De Forms Coordination Committee to Strengthen Outreach in Punjab
Akali Dal ‘Waris Punjab De’ has formed a coordination committee to strengthen its engagement with like-minded organisations and groups working in different sectors across Punjab, with national unity as one of the stated considerations behind the move.
According to a party letter, Sukhwinder Singh Agwan has been appointed as the coordinator-in-charge of the committee. Pragat Singh Raia and Prof. Ranjit Singh Dhanoa have been given responsibilities as members.
The committee will work to establish contact and coordination with political, farmers’, labour, religious and social organisations across Punjab. The party said the initiative is aimed at taking discussions with like-minded groups forward and creating opportunities for mutual cooperation on common issues.
The committee will also examine the credentials and other aspects of office-bearers approaching the party from other organisations before facilitating their induction into Akali Dal ‘Waris Punjab De’.
The party has appealed to all its office-bearers and workers to extend cooperation to the newly formed committee. It said the initiative would help strengthen national unity and collective efforts.
