Anil Vij slams Rahul Gandhi over Operation Sindoor remarks, calls it 'Insult to Armed Forces and Nation'

Chandigarh : Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Anil Vij launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, accusing him of insulting the Indian armed forces, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the nation with his recent remarks on Operation Sindoor.

Addressing the media in Chandigarh, Vij said, “Rahul Gandhi’s comments are nothing short of treason. He has disrespected the Indian Army, the Prime Minister, and the pride of the nation. He must apologise to the entire country.”

Vij was reacting to a viral poster circulating on social media and picked up by Pakistani media, in which Rahul Gandhi allegedly mocks Prime Minister Modi with the phrase “Narendra surrender,” drawing global attention.

"Operation Sindoor a Big Success"

Calling Operation Sindoor a major achievement for India, Vij stated that the armed forces successfully destroyed nine Pakistani terror hideouts.

“This operation has bolstered national security, and calling into question its success is deeply irresponsible,” he said, asserting that the nation must not forgive Rahul Gandhi for his remarks.

Criticism Over IPL Stampede Response

Commenting on the tragic stampede at the IPL victory celebration in Bengaluru, which led to multiple deaths, Vij criticized the Karnataka government’s handling of the situation.

He called the Chief Minister’s justification—comparing the incident to past stampedes—unacceptable. “This reflects administrative failure. Strict action must be taken against those responsible,” he added.

India Overtakes Japan Economically

In response to Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s comment that “Viksit Bharat” without economic progress is hollow, Vij highlighted that India has officially overtaken Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy.
